For Earth Week 2021, B Corporation partnered with 1% For the Planet to celebrate Certified B Corporations that also give 1% of their sales to environmental nonprofits (aka B1 companies). We’ve made the commitment as a B1 and we thought we’d share some of our fellow B1 companies that embrace our mantra of being better for people and the planet i.e. earth-friendly products and services.
A little bit on Certified B Corps and 1% For the Planet if you’re unfamiliar with their missions and core values:

King Arthur Baking Company is a no-brainer if you want healthy baking pantry staples. We truly appreciate their accommodations to special diets (gluten-free, kosher, organic, and sugar-free, respectively). We especially love their certified gluten-free flour and gluten-free vanilla extract. Even better yet, to use their gluten-free flour in lieu of regular flour, it’s a 1:1 substitution ratio. Easy as pie!

We know you’re familiar with Patagonia, but do you REALLY know about Patagonia? Now, every time you see someone wearing that quintessential zip-up, you’ll also be thinking, “and they’re a 1% for the Planet B Corp”! Patagonia offers a wide range of outdoor clothing and products; you may have not necessarily associated such a huge company with such lofty sustainability goals. Fun fact, 1% for the Planet was co-founded by Yvon Chouinard, founder, and CEO of Patagonia. Patagonia is serious about its commitment to the environment!

We know our audience appreciates sustainability, and some of us have occasionally gone as far as rinsing out plastic bags to reuse. Totally unnecessary!
